Our Classes and Events
-

Pottery
Pottery at Creative Space, guided by Kiki Thompson, invites you to slow down and enjoy the mindful process of working with clay. You’ll start with hand-building, move on to glazing, and, if time allows, try the pottery wheel. Each three-hour class blends creativity and calm as you craft something uniquely your own. Courses are sold as four-session packages, which can be taken flexibly. A fee of CHF 15 per kilo applies for fired pieces.
-

Woodworking
Working with wood is a grounding experience that sparks creativity and reconnects the hand, brain, and eye. At Creative Space, woodworking classes led by Vincent Denaud—a skilled carpenter and teacher—teach you to shape, build, and create with purpose. Projects such as an Art Deco lamp, bedside table, bench, or chair draw inspiration from art and design history. Each three-hour class is designed so you can walk away with a finished piece made by your own hands. Prices are based on the use of pine wood; an additional charge applies if you choose other types of wood.
-

Painting
Painting at Creative Space is taught by artists Madeleine Paternot and Kiki Thompson, who guide you through the expressive world of acrylic painting. You’ll learn to build up layers, explore composition, and develop a strong sense of color through practical exercises in color theory. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your technique, these classes encourage experimentation, confidence, and personal expression in a relaxed and inspiring studio environment.
-

Printmaking
Printmaking at Creative Space, taught by Kiki Thompson, introduces you to the art of reductive linoleum printing—a process that combines creativity, patience, and precision. You’ll learn to carve and layer your designs using professional tools, experimenting with color and composition to produce striking, one-of-a-kind prints. This class encourages out-of-the-box thinking while teaching the technical skills needed to master this rewarding and hands-on art form.
-

Paint-a-plate
Our Paint-a-Plate workshop is a relaxed and creative session where you can transform a simple ceramic plate into a one-of-a-kind work of art. Guided by our teachers, you’ll explore color, pattern, and design using underglazes and brushes to bring your vision to life. Whether you’re creating a gift, a keepsake, or simply enjoying a mindful moment, this workshop is perfect for all ages and experience levels. Once finished, your piece will be glazed and fired, ready to take home and use. Prices vary depending on the size of the object you choose. Please note that firing takes 48 hours, so your finished piece will be ready for collection a minimum of two days after your class.
